Fetch the record

Hi

I have an excel contains company in columnA and the count of it columnB. I want to fetch the N companies from the list and the fetched records should be deleted from the list.

Example: I want to fetch only 5 companies and that 5 companies must be delete in the list.

A formula can't delete a record - you will need a macro to do that.

I meant that you had posted under the Formulas forum, but you can't use a formula for what you want to do. There is a separate forum for macros and VBA, so it would be better to post there, or ask a moderator to move the thread for you.

If it s unable to delete, at least I want to fetch only the record containing more than 5 companies.

The companies will be changing often. First let me know any solution is there to fetch only 5 records
