Vlookup to Insert photos compiled in a Folder to en Excel file

I have a work problem that only a Macro can solve and I have no experience in this field.

I work in Retail so we base what we sell our entire season based on one file which consists of 6 digit codes, each related to a different product, and a picture of the final product as well. There are LOTS of codes..so there are LOTS of pictures.

I have all of the pictures saved in a couple different folders on my hard drive. I would like help with two issues:

1. Each pictures takes up multiple cells in terms of space because each code has subcodes to devide the product in its various sizes. The picture spans this range of sizes.
A. Is there any way to use a macro to instruct excel to take the specific picture that is related to a cell containing the 6 DIGIT CODE and paste/imbed this foto in the space which has been allocated for it?
B. When I download a report from systems, my information is always based on the 6 or 13 codes related to the products, when analyzing the data, I would also like this macro to be able to embed the foto next to its corresponding code. In this case, the code will only occupy 1 cell because it doesnt include the range of sizes like the other document. Is there a VBA code that tells excel to first embed the picture, then adjust the cell to the dimensions of the picture or something similar to make this work?

2. I also have an issue with the sizes of the files because I have so many fotos. Please note that the question 2(A) also applies to questions 1(A) and 1(B)

A. I was reading up on the issue and I am led to understand that it is possible to do a Vlookup with hyperlinks to the foto file in my directory rather simply pasting or embedding the foto which would help with my size issue. Is there anyone that has a macro or knows how to design one that will let me vlookup hyperlinks based on the 6 Digit code so that I can press the link (which would now be to the right of the code) to see the picture on an as needed basis?
