Sorting Filtered Data

Hi all, am kind of new to writing excel macros and vb in general. Basically, I have a macro that performs 2 advanced filters and moves data between sheets. On the final sheet, I now have two groupings of data as the results of the two filters (A1:F20 and G1:L20 for example). The first column in each of these groupings (A1 and G1 in example) are names. I want to sort group 2 so that rows are lined up with rows in group 1 based on matching names (Bob + filter 1 result row next to Bob + filter 2 result row). Group 1 always has the same names as group 2, but the rows are in defferent orders
I hope my explanation wasn't too confusing

Would the filters still be required before we sort - or can we remove the filters and then sort??

The filters are no longer needed once they have created the groups. So yes, filters can be removed, then sorted.
