Excel macro to merge columns with dash in between

I need a macro that will merge columns D & E and will put a dash in between them

    Column D = 457 Column E = 12 Merged Column = 457-12

The sheet I'm merging has 15,000 rows and has blank rows.

If the length of Column e=1 then I need to add a leading zero...... Can this be done?

    such as:

    Column D = 457 Column E = 2 Merged Column = 457-02
