Conditional formatting needed for shape colour - is programming needed?

    Hi,
I already posted this in the general section, but it looks like I may need a bit of programming. Any assistance would be great.
We have a machine with 24 production ‘heads’ and I need to have a visual representation of their state which the operators can then display on a excel sheet. I want to change 24 individual shape (which represent the heads) foreground colours from clear to RED based on the values in 24 adjacent cells (these are all a variant list consisting of OFF or ON). Therefore, when, for example Cell L6 = OFF then OVAL 1 foreground colour changes from clear to RED and vice versa when the Cell value = ON
I've attached a jpeg of a screenshot I want to achieve where the 24 transparent oval shapes are layered onto the top a image of the m/c and change colour based on the state of a cell. In this example heads 3 & 18 are turned off and so changed colour to red.

I think I may need to use a bit of code rather than use conditional formating (like I have for the cell colour changes), but I don't know what change code I would require. Once again any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for your time reading.
