    Conditional Formatting Question

I want to know every task that is required in a certain month, by only changing the value in one key cell. In other words, I want to highlight any task in Column A if there's a character in the same row in Columns B thru M, but only if that character is in a column corrsponding to the key shown in Cell A1. I've managed to find a conditional formatting formula to highlight the cells in B3 thru M12 - =AND(B3<>"",B$2=$A$1) - but the same formula doesn't work for Column A, and I'm stumped.

Outstanding! That works like a charm. Thank you.
