    Record time stamp once cell is double clicked

    hi,

    can someone help me on how can I record a time stamp once I double click a cell? Like if in Column A5:a20, once I double click in any of those cells, its should record a time stamp..same goes to column B5:b20, e5:e20,f5:f20 and so on

    Whats Not Working? Did you place the code into the Sheets Module? Must be in the sheets Module and not a standard Module.

    hi mike,

    tried it again and this time it worked however, say when I click on cell A5, the time stamp displays on cell c5...I would like to have the time stamp displayed or recorded to the specific cell that I've click. So if I click on cell A5, then the time stamp should be recorded on that cell instead...

    thanks mike for the answer...im sorry if i happened to be confusing...tried the target.value=date and this displays the time to any selected cells, is it possible to place the specified time in this following cells, b5:b20,c5:c20,i5:i20,j5:j20,p5:p20,q5:q20...i would like to limit the effect of the double click function on those mentioned columns and rows...thanks again
