Combining vertical cells into one and between blank rows start combining again?

    Hi,
I am trying to combine vertical cells of content in a Column (varying lengths of text and numbers) into one cell next to it and to stop at a blank row and start the combining process again from the content in the next available cell after the blank row until it gets to a blank row and then starts again. I have attached the example below to an excel attachment for ease of viewing. Vertical cell test.xlsxFor example:

    Column 1 Column 2
    Joe90 Joe90Alf45Bob354
    Alf45
    Bob354
    Blank Row
    Brydgf Brydgftest25excel3w4e
    test25
    excel3w4e
    Blank Row
    7fr6 7fr6fgrtds7wif7ww
    fgrtds
    7wif7ww
    Blank Row

    Many thanks

Thanks Tom, I've attached a workbook with the example above to make it clearer to see.

Yes it works on this example but when I apply it to the actual data it doesn't. The data is html if that makes any difference and is clearly larger amounts of data. It can be one row or say 20 rows. Sorry I should have been clearer to start with, my apologies.

Re: Combining vertical cells into one and between blank rows start combining again?

I think the issue is that the blank cells between the data still has some residual content from the formulas, I tried clear contents on one of the rows and the formula continued to work. I just need to find a way to clear the contents of the blank rows/cells within the data then. Although this only works when I cut it out of the original document and paste it into the test one attached. So there's something clearly causing an issue in the original source document.

Does this work in both Excel 2007 & 2010?
