    changing cell values of a column based on its background color

    Hi to all,

    i use excel 2007.

    first please visit the link below for my worksheet format or download the attachment.

    I set the background color of the rows manually, so it's either gray or white.

    then i want by using a macro the center column be filled.
    the value for the center column is Ix.y
    x starts from 0 to 250,
    y starts from 0 to 7 and after reaching 7 it resets to 0 and increments to 7 again and so on.

    if the background color in a row is changed, x is added once, and y resets to zero,
    for example in the picture above, the 4th and 5th row show this.

    would you please give me hint or solution writing such a macro?
