can we assign a macro to be automatically run in a specific routine everyday?

    hi guys,

i want to ask something here,
can we run a macro automatically in a daily routine.

    as an example,

i have a macro that will update a list of filename in a specific folder.
i will run the macro 2 times a day to get the latest list of filename and the list will execute into a column in a specific sheet.

from that updated list, i will run another macro to sort a few details in the filename to a few specific column in the same sheet.

if let say we can do it [excel allow it],
maybe we can have a result of:
    1. the update macro run 2 times per day automatically let say at 8am and 1pm. then after 2min the update macro run, the sort macro run.

    additional condition,
the macro's is also assign to a specific button, besides it run automatically, maybe we can still click that button to run the macro in other time.

if the answer is yes, we can, can u show how?

    thank you so much.

to get your macros to run at a time its quite simple.

for further references google "ontime" excel. So you will need to do two lines for the two times you want telling it to run each individual macro, bare in mind you will have to leave the program open it wont do it if it's closed.

    sorry for the late reply
well obviously if the computer is off and the workbook is closed it wont run, but what I've gave you should work aslong as there's the excel sheet running the in background.

You can have it run as many as you want automatically by naming your macro in the "modulemacro" , "modulemacro1" etc for that specific time
