    Disabling Drag Drop prevents pasting from other workbook

    I want to disable dragdrop on a worksheet. However, when I use

    It works great turning off the dragdrop, but it also prevents the user from copying from another workbook and pasting into the worksheet where the dragdrop was deactivated. Is there a way to have dragdrop turned off and still paste from another workbook?

    If I lock and protect the cells in column A (which are the ones I don't want people to drag and drop INTO), then people cannot drag and drop to them, however, in a validation procedure the user can run a macro which deletes certain rows -- the rows cannot be deleted if all the cells in column A are locked.
