Automatically copy data from one sheet to another

I want to know if it is possible to copy data in the same workbook from one sheet which compiles the entire months activity, to another sheet in the same workbook that has them separated by which team they are on.

Here is a sample of what I mean. I have sheets 1-3 by month, and I would like it if, as I enter information for a given month, that there is some kind of a macro that searches for the same name in the sheet that is separated by team number and inputs the information from the master to the one separated by team number.

    Sample For Forum.xlsx

If someone could let me know if it is possible, I'd really appreciate it.

Do you want the copy paste to happen at the click of a button?

Well that would be fine yes. I just want the information to separate by tem instead of staying in an overall type of format without having to manually enter te information twice.

I dd figure out a way to do this on the same sheet. Instead of having a separate sheet to separate by team, if I add that to the bottom of the monthly sheets I can use the LOOKUP function to check th data for a given name and then put it in the right row. But that forces me to put that function in every single cell of the separate by te so that it knows where to look. If I can't fine anything else that is how I am going to have to do it

So the numbers for July, August, etc should be summed and entered into the By Team sheet?

Re: Automatically copy data from one sheet to another

I basically just want it to re-sort from being in alphabetical order on one sheet, to being sorted by team on the other sheet.

I could just sort them by team on the original sheet instead of by alphabetical order, except (although it is not in my example there) I need them to be in three different individual sections/categories every month, but the sort by team is not separated like that. So per month I want to be able to find everyone in there respective section in alphabetical order, but also be able to break that information down by team without the different sections.

I'm sorry if it is not making sense. I don't need a sum of the months under the team sheet, I just wanted to be able to run a macro or something that would allow each month to be re-sorted by team on the other sheet. I just wasn't sure if this is possible or not.

    Thanks for the reply

So in other words, you only need the info in column A to be populated by the macro? You do not want the numbers to be shown?

No, I want everything to come over. Just to be resorted by team instead of by name.
