MERGE and Consolidate excel data from 750 wookbooks into one wookbook.
I need to merge several wookbooks into one wookbook. each booked contains a table with number information in the same format in the same location, i need a way to merge with information into one table so that it will add the data together.
example wookbook one is monday
unexplaned minutes cancellations
area 1/ 5/ 855/ 4/
area 2/ 10/ 900/ 0/
area 3/ 11/ 500/ 2/
next wookbook is tue
unexplaned minutes cancellations
area 1/ 2/ 200/ 1/
area 2/ 2/ 200/ 0/
area 3/ 15/ 900/ 1/
next workbook wed
unexplaned minutes cancellations
area 1/ 60/ 1400/ 23/
area 2/ 20/ 600/ 0/
area 3/ 15/ 900/ 1/
ect ect
so in the master i want it to say
unexplaned minutes cancellations
area 1/ 67/ 2455/ 28/
area 2/ 32/ 1700/ 0/
area 3/ 41/ 2300/ 4/
i have a formula which will search all the files and merge them but it just copies the data from one sheet and paste's it below the next, which is not what i want, i have a formula which will add the data like i require but i have to open all the sheets up to do this. i cant open 700 excel sheets. i would like to write path to the folder where the files are loacted.
the headers for the table are cells B5:V5, side lables are B5:B129 and all the data is B6:V129
any help please.
