Thanks - yes the macro buttons work fine.
This is a Command button, with VB code which I am using for the first time.
The code is as follows:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
'toggle views between
' (1) set all data row heights to 15 and hide columns V-Z
' (2) unhide columns V-Z and automatically set row height for all rows
Dim lastRowNumber As Long
lastRowNumber = Range("B5").End(xlDown).Row
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
If Columns(4).Hidden Then
Columns("V:Z").Hidden = False
Rows("5:" & lastRowNumber).Select
Selection.EntireRow.AutoFit
Else
Columns("V:Z").Hidden = True
Rows("5:" & lastRowNumber).Select
Selection.RowHeight = 15
End If
Range("A1").Select
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

So just to clarify, my questions are:
1. How do I get a 'hand' to appear as a MouseOver?
2. Nothing seems to happen when I click on the button - it certainly does not change the row heights as hoped.
Many thanks.
