How to select optionbutton on protected sheet

Hi, i have a worksheet that contains text boxes and option buttons and i would like to protect the sheet so no one can "mess" with it. But when i protect the sheet one can not input data into the text boxes or select option buttons. Is there any way to protectg the sheet but allow the user to select options and input text into text boxes.

i am enclosing a file. this file has the worksheet already protected the password for the sheet is 123

    Any ideas would be appreaciated

With the sheet unlocked and the Design Mode on, select each item and change the Locked property to False. Then re-lock sheet.

that does indeed work thank you.

one question though.......and this may not be doable............

when i did as you said....set the lock property to "False" for each item..........and then protect the sheet........

if i then go into design mode .......i can move the items around.......i suppose there is no way to prevent the user from movign the items around.......this is a minor point but just wanted to check......

    thanks again.

As far as I know, if someone has the developer tab enabled and design mode on there is no way to stop them.

If the option button has a linked cell, and the cell is locked, then you will be unable to change the control when the sheet is protected. Unlock the linked cell.
