Move entire row to another worksheet based on cell value

    Hi Guys,

This website is such a valuable tool for those of us who are excell illiterate..
I'm trying to do exactly the same as the following thread but can't update the code for my worksheet as it is well beyond my knowledge level!!

    This is the thread -
    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...ell-value.html

In my workbook I want the row to be moved to the correct worksheet based on the data validation in column L. So if Column L was selected as 'Open' it would move to the sheet named 'open' if column L was selected as 'Closed' it would move to the sheet named 'closed'.

I haven't had any success trying to modify the code work from the above thread to work in my workbook.

I've attached my worksheet if anyone could provide any help it would be immensely appreciated.

Re: Move entire row to another worksheet based on cell value

Would you want the movement to happen each time the dropdown value is selected?

    or

Would you want to select the dropdown values for all rows and then click on a button to trigger the movement?

The first option, so when the value is selected it would appear in the corresponding sheet

Re: Move entire row to another worksheet based on cell value

Sorry to bring this one back up but this has helped me quite a bit with that I need to do. I do have one question, how can I make the rows being moved go to the top of the spreadsheet rather than the bottom?

Unfortunately you need to post your question in a new thread, it's against the forum rules to post a question in the thread of another user. If you create your own thread, any advice will be tailored to your situation so you should include a description of what you've done and are trying to do. Also, if you feel that this thread is particularly relevant to what you are trying to do, you can surely include a link to it in your new thread.
