Hello,
Curious if anyone may have an idea of how to accomplish this task. The attached workbook represents a way to gather data(Input) add it to a database worksheet (LinenData). When collecting the data using this format on th Input sheet it can get rather time consuming searching through the droplist each time you make an entry into the database or LinenData Sheet. So assuming I am making 5 entries via the input sheet I may be entering 5 different types of linen for one department. Does anyone have a creative idea of how to be able to make these entries without having to search everytime through the dropdown list for the same department that was used in the previous entry.
I thought of a command button to go to the last entry on the LinenData sheet providing that it is the same department and copy that department into the input sheet cells d7:g7. This way the user would not have to search through the dropdown list each time to find the department name therefore causing the process to take a lot longer time to make entries.
The code I tried to create to do this errors out. Maybe someone might have a suggestion as to correcting the code so it will copy the last department into the cells d7:g7 on the input sheet. I don't quite know what the error is saying and how to correct the problem.
Thanks to all who may have a creative idea of how to remedy this problem.
