Creating Update Button for either new entry or updating existing data

    Prior Posting: http://www.excelforum.com/search.php?searchid=221860

I have a spreadsheet that have Names going Vertical (a2:a11) - and days of the month in columns (b2:aa2)
My "Input" sheet has two drop downs with data validation on the lists for selection of both name and then date. Im utilizing the Index/Match function to gather the orignal input. When used, I do get the input for that specific date and person (1 cell) - however, how would I make it to not only disply the entry (zero or not) but also be able to enter new or changed figures then hit "udpate" and have this new info get copied to the "Opps" sheet? (this sheet is where the data is pulling from to show the entries on the Input sheet. I hope I explained this well enough.
I found one such "data entry" spreadsheet that did this, but they had their data being updated row by row entry; not in the fashion I've outlayed here. I need some assistance in getting this function to work. Thank you - Glenn
