Issue with pivot table

Hi there,

I have a rather detailed Pivot Table that I've generated and have a few questions I hope you can help me with

1. Am I able to run functions using the pivot data as the data source? i.e. if functions etc...
2. I tried to create a macro (recording) to see if it would actually work and had the following error:

Sorry about that!

I get an error 1004: unable to get the pivot table property of the worksheet class.

then there is no table called pivottable4 on the active sheet
