Macro/VBA Code Assistance - very slow on text

I am running this sort of reverse pivot table macro which when running on a table of numbers runs very, very quickly. However, I use the same macro to perform similar operation on what is mostly text, and it runs very, very slow. Perhaps an order of magnitude slower.

Wondering if anyone can assist me in trying to speed this up for the text, or is it a by-product of text in and of itself.
