Hello,

I have a Excel 2003 workbook named "Dobson 5" which has 2 worksheets - "Input" and "Metform 5608" - in it. I want to save "Metform 5608" in Notepad, using the contents of cell "Metform 5608" AF1 - which will be a date YYYYMMDD - as the filename. The original worksheet has to remain open and keep it's name of "Dobson 5". The notepad file should be saved and closed when the macro is finished running, and any other "temporary" files that the macro used deleted so that everything is as it was at the start, except for the addition of the new notepad file.

The date in AF1 will change each day, and all of this is saved on the desktop.

The "Dobson 5" workbook is protected (without a password), as are the 2 worksheets, and they all need to be protected after the macro has finished.

If anyone can help I'd be v grateful. My VB skills are about nil...

Thanks in antic!
