Macro Newbie... need help copying existing sheet and renaming it

    Hi all,

I am a newbie to using macros and I was wondering if I could get some assistance. I was looking at other threads with a similar request but the code seemed specific to their issue that when I tried to replicate it in Visual Basic I kept getting errors.

I have a Spreadsheet where in the main sheet (called "Home"), I would like to create a button (macro) that will allow me to copy a hidden page (titled: ActionPlan) and allow me to rename that sheet (example: ActionPlanOct2012) in the same workbook. From there, is it also possible to have a link created back in the "Home" sheet on a specific cell (ex: Cell G-14) to the newly created ActionPlanOct2012 sheet? I plan on hiding the sheet tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet and only using hyperlinks to other pages in the "Home" sheet.

Any assistance is most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for taking a look! I hope my request is not too confusing. I made some notes in the spreadsheet.

Re: Macro Newbie... need help copying existing sheet and renaming it

Thank you. I just realized this, but is there also a way to create a "delete ActionPlan" button the same way there is an "add ActionPlan" button? "Delete ActionPlan" would need to delete the new ActionPlanOct2012 sheet and delete the hyperlink as well...

Also, when I click "add Action Plan" it automatically generates ActionPlanOct2012, but is there a way to prompt me what to name the new sheet? Because, when I click "add action plan" a 2nd time I get some kind of debug error... where as I may want one for Nov2012 or Dec2012.

    Thanks in advance-
