    Hello corescript,

    There is an easier way. See the attached WorkBook. On the second page I have made some changes, and a user will not be able to duplicate a name. No need for Pop-Up Message then.

    Also see the "Please consider" note at the bottom of this post.

    Hello corescript,

    Sorry about that. I have totally missed the Date bit.

    There is another easy way, and that is to turn a Cell Red with Conditional Formatting when a duplication appears in a specified range.

    In the attached WorkBook, I have done that for you with the range F5 to F9 to show you how it is done. You can expand on that, if you like it.
