Migration from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007 and chart naming code no longer works...

    Hi All

I have recently moved from Excel 2003 to 2007, when trying to use one of my 2003 spreadsheets (which i have converted) I keep getting 'Run-Time Error: '-2147024809 (80070057)'.

This spreadsheet is used to automatically produce graphs based on school performance. However, when I press the button to run the macro I get the above error saying 'Object has no title'. the code it below:

You need to apply the title first.

    Hi Andy

I have tried this as shown in the code below. However, i am still getting the same error:

The strange thing is i have a number of other spreadsheets running the same code, without the 'HasTitle', and when i have tested them they have been fine showing no errors.

    thanks

In fact if I had looked more closely at your code I would have seen you already had it.

Can you post an example workbook that demonstrates the error as my test does not have a problem.

I just ran all 7 routines without error.
Did the workbook still have the error for you after you removed confidential information?

Is your excel up to date in terms of service packs?

Office button > Excel options > Resources > About.

I assume you can manually apply the chart title once the code trips up?

I out of ideas as to why the code will not work for you.
