    Macro solution needed

I have pasted in the 1st four rows an example of the workbook that contains locations and quantities for an item_id (this workbook has around 34K rows) in the attachment.
I have the need to be able to populate the item_id's with the locations and the quantities from that workbook using the Item_ID in column "A" of a worksheet. I have used the index an small if functions but it is so slow for any more than a few item Ids.
    Example below:
Customer ID Stocking Location Item Id Short Desc Product Class Quantity Hard Allocation Quantity Soft Allocation Quantity
    H99 AALBQ 109-0385-000 FAN,60x38mm AALBQ 1 0 0
    H99 AALBQ 109-7000-009 FAN,P-S,92x2 AALBQ 1 0 0
    H99 AALBQ 110-0144-008 FD,1.44Meg, AALBQ 1 0 0

Item ID Locations and quantities below for each Item Id
ZZ4-3510-000 ABIRM ACINN ADALL AOKLA APHOE ARALD
    1 1 1 1 2 1
112-3640-004 ABIRM ACHAR ACINN ACOLO ADALL AFLNT
    2 2 2 2 1 1

    Hi, Cobbhill,

maybe you should attach a workbook with sample data and a description of the situation as is and as wanted or enclose your example here in Code-Tags as the browser just ignores all leading as well as doubled/multiplied blanks for display.

    Ciao,
    Holger
