long running macro - progress indicator tips needed

Hi, I have a working macro that is currently processing 60,000 rows happily, correctly but slowly. When i hit the run button it quickly fills my screen witht he results of the first 25 rows and then effectively "locks" my excel tab for quite some time and with visible indication of success / progress until it completes

I would like to "pop up" a message every x rows saying "dont panic, there are xxxxxx rows and I have done yyyyyy so far" but without needing to use a yes /no type box that requires operator input to resume processing (in case I havent come back from making a coffee).

I am using excel 2010 if that limits or expands my options.

    Thanks in advance
