Hi,

I have placed an Add-in in a network drive and installed in each workstation all using Excel 2007 without copying it to the local Addin folder in order for everyone to access the same Addin as read-only except myself who is allowed to make changes and save. I have set-up the Workbook_Open event of the Addin to do it for me but, When I start Excel, I am supposed to have full access, instead, it opens as read-only with the message "MyAddin.xlam is locked for editing by another user" with Notify and Cancel buttons. I checked all the workstations and confirmed that the addin is opened as read-only. My question is why doesn't the file open with full access in my machine while everyone else has it opened read-only?

Appreciate, your response and suggestion.
