Macro help: Excel to Google Chrome and back

    Hi folks,

After farting around with a Chrome macro extension and failing miserably, I come here scurrying humbly with tail between legs.

Essentially I'm trying to create a script that will:
    1. Pull a string (specifically the name of a county in the UK) from an Excel spreadsheet field and suffix it with the rest of my (universal) search query.
    2. Return the first page (or specified number) of search results (e.g. title and URL) and paste them into column(s) adjacent to the relevant county field in Excel.
    3. Rinse and repeat for all county's (located in column B, 1-1xx)

Is this sort of thing possible? I have some working knowledge of VBA, but absolutely none in regards to it's compatibility with regards to internet browsers.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Josh

Edit: I've just read that this sort of thing is against Chrome's TOS, or was previously. I understand totally if anyone is unwilling to offer help, or if the thread is just locked completely.
