Macro to prompt number of questions to be included in a multiple choice test - Excel 2010

    Hi

I am a noob as regards VBA and macros. I have prepared a multiple choice test template using various macros posted on Excel forums by experts - Thank you for these. I have designed the template to do the below:

    1. On the Test worksheet, display 50 questions. The questions are called from the Answers worksheet using the VLOOKUP function.
    2. On the Answers worksheet, I have a list of 125 questions. I have used the RandomizeList macro to change the order of the question numbers whenever the candidate clicks on the “Start” button on the Test worksheet. Thus the candidate will be presented with different questions for each attempt.
    3. I have also included a counter to show the number of questions attempted, the time taken to complete the test and the number of attempts.
    4. When the candidate hits the “Submit” button, the score/result is displayed, along with the correct/incorrect answers.
    5. I would like to use this template to create tests on different subject and hence I have also included VB application to create a new test.

I would be very grateful if any of the Excel experts out there could please have a look at my codes and see if there are any redundant variables or code lines (as I have just copied the available macros and pasted them in the attached file, maybe modified a few lines to suit my requirements).

I would like to add a couple of additional features to the spreadsheet, if it is possible:

    1. While creating a new test, Excel should ask how many questions I would include in the new test and based on the input, update the “Test” worksheet accordingly. For example the file is currently designed to display 50 questions and the relevant formulae (to pull the question and grade the answer) have been included in columns D and I. Now if I increase the number of questions to 75, additional rows should be inserted and the formulae should be copied down.

    2. At the beginning of the test, Excel should ask the candidate how many questions he/she would like to answer - the minimum number would be 50 and maximum number would be the total number of questions in the list on the Answers worksheet (e.g. 125 in the attached file).

Any help on the above is highly appreciated. As I have mentioned earlier, I don’t know much about macros/VB to start from scratch. If the above two points have been asked/resolved, please could you help me with the links to such posts as I did not find any (either they are not there or maybe I did not use the right key words).

    Many thanks.

    Vijay
