Counting laps and display lap time for swimmers

Hi, the attached spreadsheet explains: I need to place an "X" in the start column with a double-click and then display the time in the cell to the right. On completion of the first lap, a double-click in the Lap 1 column should place "X" in the double-clicked cell and produce the end time in the End Time column at the end of the row. The next double-click in the Lap 2 column should place "X" in the double-clicked cell and then update / overwrite the previous end time in the End Time column. Ditto for all the Lap cells right to the end. I have tried achieving this by using recorded macros and text boxes in the first input row (11) but that will require hundreds of macros and text boxes - a very silly way to get the result I require. My experience with VB is nil - I have just started learning. Hoping for help by way of a clean and short code that will solve my problem. Much gratitude for any help offered!

Find my attached with a suggestion. I have made some sample data using a Now formula in Col B. I have put a counter formula in Col C. I have not done a Dynamic Named Range or any VBA code in the attached. It is simply a different (better?) way to arrange your data and do this problem. See if you understand where I'm going and if it will work for you...
