Insert Symbol on Cell Double click

Hello

i want to be able to create a sheet that goes around for approval and i want to be able to have Managers double click into a cell and the Wingdings 0252 sybbol (Check Mark) appears and if they double click again it goes away.

The problem i am having is that they are not using the same aproval method each time and this way it is easy, and if it is not done, then i am looking for the same thing each time to prevent the sheet from closing.

To prevent future problems you may want to incorporate it in a specific range that way people arent accidentally double clicking a range that has valuable data in it and that gets wiped out.

Good advice on setting the target cell...it ended up that someone got click happy in testing before i could change that

I take it back. setting the target to L9 did not work. I am sure i am missing something simple, but i am not sure hwat?

Where the range D1:D10 is the only range that the double click applies to. This of course can be edited to meet your needs. Let me know if this helps.

But ... It would be possible to make this Code-VBA to work with merged cells??

Can i select a range of cells instead a single cell to put my symbol?

I use it a lot and I have a method (simple), I think. Maybe it's useful to someone.
I set the font face to MARLETT in columns where used check mark. Because "a" is equivalent to a check mark.

With Double Click put check mark and Right Click delete it.

Note. I am a beginner in VBA (very beginner).
