Copy rows containing a cell reference from another document.

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me with a macro I would like to run.

I would like to have a "date input" field on my Template, and once I have input the date field. The macro will then open File SKU

Then check sheet SKU - FY13 column G for the "date input" And copy the Rows containing the "date input" to the sheet on the Template called Release.

I appreciate your time and efforts, this site has already been a great help.

    Cheers,
    Robbie.

Why dont you attach a sample file?

    To Attach a File:

    1. Click on Go Advanced
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
    5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
    6. This will open a new window File Upload.
    7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
    8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
    9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
    10. Close the window and then click Submit.

Re: Copy rows containing a cell reference from another document.

    Thank you for the instructions!

Please find attached the 2 sample files.

On Template.xlsm I would like the user to input the date in sheet Date Cell B2

I would then like the macro from Template.xlsm to open File SKU.xlsx and search sheet SKU - FY13 rows containing the "Release Date" Column G).

I would also like to copy only Columns A to G (excluding H).

Please let me know if there is any further clarification needed.

Re: Copy rows containing a cell reference from another document.

Hi again Arlette, I ended up using a different solution from another thread.

It doesn't look up the cell reference to get the filter, but it filters and copys from SKU.xlsx then pastes only the columns I wanted then closes the SKU workbook.

I'll mark this as solved so noone invests any more time.
