Is there a macro that can automatically run itself without opening eather of the workbooks?
I have now a macro that gets a value from closed workbook but I don't know how I could set it to run automatically daily and if that is even possible?

You can put the code in the open event of the workbook then set it up in windows tasks to open at a set time everyday
Ok, I think I will go with that. Thanks for your answer!
I was just wondering if there had been some way to do this without opening the files at all
It depends what you want to do, but a vbscript will probably do the job
I actually tried this code
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'Runs a macro at 4:30 PM
Application.OnTime TimeValue("16:30:00"), "Name_of_Macro"
End Sub
but it didn't work... Should that work? Found that from another forum...
