I have looked into several different ways of solving this and have not been able to identify a solution as of yet. I have attached an example of the kind of data sets that I am working with as well as an example of the algorithm which I am currently using to analyze these data. The information is organized by date. Essentially, what I would like to be able to do is have a drop down box that allows me to select a specific data set and date which would then automatically return the results of the algorithm.
Each data set has information spanning several months. The established variables are averages of the data associated with them. Three out of the five variables required by the algorithm will only use the data for the current month based on the initial date selected. For instance, an initial selection of December 10th would require only the additional information provided before December 10th, between December 1st and December 9th to be exact, for that variable. The two remaining variables would use the all time data or, in other words, everything from the first provided date, October 29th for example, up until December 9th. The variable defined as "Final Answer" is what I am after and I would like to be able to determine its value by selecting the pertinent date and data set only, rather than having to define the cell range manually for each variable. Let me know if you have questions on this and thank you very much for any assistance that you can provide. It is much appreciated.
