Changing Links from .xls to .xlsm

I am using Widows 7 and excel 2007


I need a macro that will loop thru a directory,open each excel file (.xls) and edit all of the link's in the "Edit Links" box from xls to xlsm and then save the file over writing the original file.


There can be more than one link in the "Edit Links" box but they all have to have the xlsm extension leaving the file name as is.

One thing that i have always encountered while working with "Edit Links" is that you need to have those files open otherwise you will get a popup which asks to open the file at each occurrence of the file in the formulae. How do you want to resolve this?

You should Google Excel Consultant, some companies will give you a pretty good rate for your project.
