Hello,
I have a function that will generate a number, 0-4, for me all set. From the value displayed (0-4), I want a word to display. For instance, 1=below standard, 4=exemplary.
How do I do this?
Thanks~

With your value in A9, say, you can use this formula:
=CHOOSE(A9+1,"very bad","poor","medium","good","outstanding")
Hope this helps.

@ Pete a9+1?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Yes, because the OP's function can return the values from 0 to 4, whereas CHOOSE takes 1 as the first choice.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum.
Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
Thanks.
