Question Find multiple keywords in excel 2010 and highlight the entire row

    Hello Everyone,

I have just joined this forum. I am working for some data analyasis for my thesis. I have a list of comments in various languages with names , region etc. in different columns. What I want to do is that search multiple key words like bad ,feedback, improvements, etc. in a column from comments and highlight that cell or entire row.The keywords are in sentences in the comments column. Further would it be possible to search in other languages for keywords too like arabic or chinese. Please help . I am not good with the coding and this is the only solution possible .

    Hello martin,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I already tried advanced filters , but it doesnt work. e.g the comments are one lines or may b a full paragraph in a cell. I need to search in this column for specific key words. Also there are many blank ows in between . I cannot remove them manually . Its around 4500 responses.Could you help me with some macro so I can repeat the process for three similar files. Would really appreciate your help

This is not my macro, found it somewhere on-line. It does not do exactly what you want, but will give you a good start.
Please note that the words you are trying to search are listed in Column "A" of sheet named lists.

You need to change this t your requirements,ie your key words should be listed in column A of sheet list

    Hello AB33,
I tried the code, but it just runs up for single word and only colour the keywords described in the sheet called list. It does not search in main comments in sheet1 in the cells

you never followed the example or read the link you need to have a column header and reproduce that in the criteria range and put *word*

    Hello Ab33 ,

I tried that but it just gets it done once per word. If I have another line with the same word . It doesnt do anything. Please see the attached file and let me know if there is any change that can be done to code to get in a loop.
