Conditional Formatting of a 3D Column Chart in Excel 2010

Hi I'm a newb looking for some help.

I'm in need of a little help with conditional formatting of a 3D column chart in Excel 2010. I'm looking for a way to change the fill color of each individual column in the chart based on its value.

I have attached an example file. I have an 11x17 array of temperature data. I've used the basic conditional formatting capabilities to highlight the cells based on the cell values. The cells are highlighted with a 3-color scale. The minimum value is a dark blue, the midpoint is white and the maximum value is bright red.

I'm basically looking to replicate the coloring of the cell highlighting in the 3D column chart.

Is it possible to do this with VBA? Or any other method?

I'd greatly appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!
