Move data from one page in a workbook to another workbook.

My boss, has said he wants a "automatic" thing....ok a macro to move data from one excel spread sheet/work book to another workbook. Both workbooks will be opened and in a viewing mode, but to make life easier instead of alot of copy and pasteing a macro would work better.

I have attached the two spreadsheets (the second one is a example)

Here is the data that needs captured:

Name under the office phone number (left side)
    Company name (right side)
    Contact (right side)
    Phone (right side)
    email (right side)
Date (in the middle) I know that the form might have to be changed
The firs listed part number - just as it is listed
then the total amount of the quote.

Ok, I think that is all.

    Any help would be great.

It should pretty easy to do but I see discrepency in your data. You are mentionning 8 data to transfert in your post but I only see 7 corresponding columns in the "Quote tracking system" workbook.

What is the first column AE in this workbook?
In this workbook, you have 7 tabs. Data will be copied to which one?
If it is on the "Open Quotes" tab, I see you have empty rows to separate each "AE". Is this necessary? It should be erased. Any issue?

here is a macro that will do some of your request. If you run this macro while in the Bridgestone workbook and having the Quote tracking system workbook open at the same time, it will copy 7 data cells to the last row. You must relocate your total amount to the first line though.

the only point left is to have the copied email to appear as an email. I don't know why but it does not in the quote tracking workbook. If you double click this cell then on another cell, it will show as an Email. But you probably don't want to do this manually. I can look into that later.

If the cells to transfer are not allways at the same place in Bridgestone workbook, you should try using a named range (Formula - Name manager) for each of those you want to copy.

    Thanks I will try this.

To explain a little more. the AE is the "account executive name" Which is not that important as I can open up that tab and run the marco from that tab. That is what the tabs are for at the bottom of the screen they show the AE intials. Sorry it was onely 7 data's.
