VB to open a file, input on a file and close again, with NO macros/vb saved to file

    Ok, long title im sorry,

i am wondering with excel is it possible to do the following,

I have a large excel file, lets call it MEGA, with many tabs and information. It is very labour intensive inputting data to it. How ever the file CANNOT be ammended (box sizes changed, names or titles moved)in anyway or have any code added to it.

is it possible to create a VB with a seperate file that opens the MEGA file and inputs all the data i want via userforms then save the file again without the file being "ammended" in anyway?

I am prepping to start work on this but im wondering am i wassting my time if i cannot do this with out putting code in the actual file.

    regards

VBA would not be required in the receiving workbook.
