Found the perfect lookup duplicate code, but cant modify it!

Hi guys found the exact code I was after through the site but I’m having difficulty modifying it for my desired cells.

Originally it focuses on the values wsOutstanding “A”,“B” and wsInstructed “A”,”B”

I cant figure out how to change it so it uses my data in wsOutstanding Left(“C”,6) & “J” and wsInstructed Left(“C”,6) & ”J”

I changed all the "a" to "c" and what i thought was an offset "2" to "8" but FAIL!

Example of it working originally working.xlsm

Example of the sheet I will be using it in how i want it to work testing.xlsm

    Any help please?

Whats getting me i think is the Ubound part... i've never come across this before

    sorry

The desired results are for when the first 6 numbers of the reference numbers match then comments/instructions "J" in "Fully Instructed Events" are to be brought across to comments/instructions "J" in "Outstanding Instructable Events"

    Isn't it

    J7:
    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(LEFT(C7,6)&"*",'Fully Instructed Events'!$C$7:$J$10,8,FALSE),"")
