    Combining RowsI hga

I have an Excel file with multiple rows per person. Col A is the unique identifier. I need to combine all rows for each person into one row. No person will have more than four rows, but some may have 2, 3 or 4. Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Bill

What I need to do is export one record per respondent in ASCII format. I do have access to SPSS for the export if necessary

One row separted by comma (,) or all values in differents cells.

For both solutions has Jerry Beaucaires an solution.

    See the link below.

    Re: Combining RowsI hga

    Thank you for that information.

However this is not quite what I need to do.

For example, if I had the following 4 rows:

    0001 AAAA
    0001 BBBB
    0001 CCCC
    0001 DDDD

Then I need my final output to look like:

    0001 AAAA BBBB CCCC DDDD

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again
    Bill
