    Lightbulb Excel 2003 > Excel 2010

Hi, I'm about to start a project where we upgrade from Excel 2003 through to 2010. We use macros and links extensively and my experience so far has led me believe that there will be quite a few issues. Can anyone recommend any websites that provide details of issues that I'm likely to face?

    Many thanks

    Mike

hi Mike_e, just a thought: why should you become a culinar chef if you want just to cook fried eggs and a cup of tea for a breakfast? In other words: test your codes in Excel 2010 and deal with the issues if anything arises (google them or ask in the forums)

    Maybe:

    To quote another site:
"In general, VBA solutions developed against a certain version of Office will work with a newer version. The devil lies in the details though. Due to bug fixing and new features the applications might behave slighty different than the older version. The only way to find out if everything still works is exhaustive testing."

    I can only agree.

The only REAL problem I've faced in the move from 2003 to 2010 (so far) is 2010 needs more help in the syntax area when using VBA to do a SaveAs.

and filesearch is deprecated-the code still compiles but it won't run.
also 2007 and later are not forgiving if you use r1c1 syntax in a formula that you assign to the Formula property whereas 2003 was
