Import web data into excel does not import picture, how to substitute picture for a value

I am importing web data into excel, however, one of the columns that I import is blank because because it contains pictures.


The HTML code for the picture from the blank cells is:

<img src="http://www.---------" alt="http://www.---------/Images/GroupNumberXX.gif">

The picture not importing simply represents a number, so GroupNumber1 is just a picture of number 1 and GroupNumber2 is a picture of number 2 etc etc.

I would like my code to replace the gif image with the number it represents in my download. So GroupNumber1.gif will be replaced by 1 in my download.

There are only 12 such images on the specific web page that I want to replace...i.e. GroupNumber1 to GroupNumber12

Any help much appreciated.
