    Protect spreadsheet with Macro

I have a spreadsheet with a Macro that I want to protect to where the user can only fill out the form. I have cells that i do not want the user to have the capability to select or type in (my header columns and rows).
Most of the cells are drop down. I just don't want them to be able to edit the functions or macros. When I tried to protect the sheet and choose what cells I wanted to allow editing, it gave me a error message because of the macro. This made it to where the Macro could not run.

does anyone know how to work around this?

    Re: Protect spreadsheet with Macro

    Hi mteeters,

Unprotect the Cells you want the users to have access to, then Protect the Sheet. You could also Protect any of your Sheets with the WorkBook Open Event.

You can also Protect your VBA Project.
