combobox dynamic range doesn't work as expected

    Greetings all,
I'm a total newbie, this is my first post so please be kind.

I've embedded a combobox (active x) in a worksheet and intend to populate it with a changing number of items based on user's decision. I've put some code together as below, but it doesn't work. Could any of you please help?

your code does work but because you have put it in the change event you have to type something into the control in order to populate the list

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to

Hi JosephP, thanks for looking into my query.
I've said I'm a newbie, so exactly typing that "something" into the control box is my problem
    Could you elaborate, please?

my point is that you should use a different event-worksheet_activate or workbook_open perhaps or combobox1_dropbuttonclick
