I donr understand Loop Code...

I am not sure if this type of thing is acceptable in Forum Rules, so Moderators please tell me if it is not...
I do not exactly have a specific problem, but i am getting better at VBA, and have seen alot said about Loops, and they look interesting and exceedingly useful...
i would like to learn more about them...
Are they sort of like running through the same thing on a lot of rows or???
Like could a Loop Code perform something like...
(If ColumnA Row1 = B then highlight the row, otherwise next line...) which would then go to...
(If ColumnA Row2 = B then highlight the row, otherwise next line...) etc???

Again, let me know if this doesnt fit forum rules...
