Using underscore to continue code on the next line

Whenever I try to continue code on the next line the VBA window errors. When I use the macro recorder it looks like it uses underscore to indicate that the same line of code is continuing, but I can't enter it manually.

Hi there needs to be a single space between the last code character and the underscore on each continuation line.
