Auto populate form text box when item selected from a drop down

I have a problem, A comboBox linked to a list, when user picks A1 the data in cell B1 and C1 appears in text boxes on the form and
if the user picks A2 the data in cell B2 and C2 and so on.

The data that appears is not amendable.

the sample file you provided contains a 3x3 "table" of random words. did you upload the correct file?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Yes....

If someone picks apple the word green goes in one text box and hard goes in the bottom.

I have just started the form the combo box works but that's all really

ok, 2 options then...
1. =IF(A2="Apple","green","")
repeat this but change the text
or, prefered...
2. create a table with all options in it. i basicaly copied your table to D2:F4
then use vlookup to find what you need...
=VLOOKUP(A2,$D$2:$F$4,2,FALSE)
change the ,2, for the next column

Re: Look up or find cell next to selected cell

Sorry think i have confused everyone..... sorry....

I have attached a new example....

If you open and press the button show form...

The combobox lets the user select one from the list generated from column A on sheet 1...

then after selecting (Say Apple) the corresponding data from column b replaces the text in box 1 (Green) on the form.....

and the corresponding data from column C replaces text in box 2 (Hard) on the form.....

Hope you can help.....

Because I need it to work from a VBA form....

The end use will be incorporated on an existing VBA form.

Thanks for your help so far.
