How to keep column data location after insert column?

In looping, I had located data in some column e.g. range("aa" & row), range("ab" & row-1). now I want to insert a new column before column AA on spreadsheet and hope original data will be relocated automatically i.e. range("ab" & row), range("ac" & row-1) without re-edit the code. How to do it? thanks.

Assign your range to a range variable.

Very useful, Thanks you for your help. I am going to label each data columns to replace set MyRng(s).
